Women and children are eligible for Emergency Shelter through our organization. At this time, due to COVID, we are providing shelter at local partner hotels. Emergency Shelter is meant to be a rapid-rehousing model, with most stays being 30-60 days. While in shelter, clients receive the resources and information needed to help them obtain a living income, organize a comfortable home, and provide a nurturing environment for themselves and their family.
During their stay in our Emergency Shelter, clients receive comprehensive case management from experienced professionals. Case managers meet with clients as soon as possible after they have entered the Emergency Shelter program, and begin the process of identifying barriers to achieving employment, housing, parenting, and other long-term success. The case manager and our support staff helps to guide the client through the process of developing a comprehensive, reality-based plan for ensuring a secure future in stable housing.
In 2019 we provided 3,403 nights of shelter to women and
children in our community!
