Welcome to YWCA Minot! We are a membership-supported organization. We provide effective programs to empower women in the greater Minot community through emergency shelter and permanent supportive housing, education and wellness. Located in downtown Minot, we accommodate homeless women and children, providing necessary resources such as beds, showers, personal care items, job placement, and more.

Women come to us in times of crisis, as survivors of rape or domestic violence. They come for job training and career counseling. They come for childcare. They come for health and fitness. They come for a variety of reasons. But they come. And they leave with a renewed spirit, new skills, and stronger lives.

Our board of directors consists of 12-16 women with diverse backgrounds. We describe ourselves as a ‘working board,' as one of our responsibilities is to manage our annual budget. Our three major fundraising events include Giving Hearts Day, the Women of Distinction Banquet, and the Swing FORE Shelter Golf Tournament. We also rely on grants, donations, memberships, and partnerships to meet our budgetary needs.

Our strength is in the diversity of our membership as we join together to work toward our goal of empowering women and eliminating racism. Please join us in our life-changing mission by becoming a member today.
